STEP ONE:

Start with an image that you would like to superimpose and the image on which it will be placed. In this case we will place a college logo onto the tee shirt of this man. NOTE: this will work best with a light colored tee shirt and a dark colored graphic.

STEP TWO:

Make a selection of the graphic to be overlaid – in this case the college logo.

STEP THREE:

Copy the graphic and paste it onto the main graphic. It will be in it’s own layer. Using the EDIT menu and the TRANSFORM submenu you can scale and distort the graphic until it is property placed.

STEP FOUR:

Open the LAYERS PALLETE and choose the layer that the shirt graphic is on. With the correct layer chosen, change the blending mode from NORMAL to MULTIPLY. If you have not used a light colored shirt and a dark colored graphic you may have to try other blending modes to find one that looks realistic. But by choosing multiply any subtle changes in the shirt below the graphic will show through, making it look more realistic.
